SURFACE GUIDE
Matte or Glossy Tiles: Compare the Finish Before You Specify
Compare surface appearance, project lighting and physical samples using the Miqilin collection.
A tile finish is easiest to understand when you compare several pieces in the space where they will be installed. A studio photograph shows one lighting condition; a physical sample lets you check how the surface looks beside your cabinetry, paint and other materials.
Compare the two Miqilin finishes
The Miqilin series uses a 60 × 400 mm format. The matte collection includes Forest Green, Soft Blue, Sage Green, Charcoal and Terracotta. The glossy collection includes Forest Green, Soft Blue and Sage Green, with reflective glaze and gently irregular edges.
Start by choosing your colour family, then compare the matte and glossy samples under daylight and your planned artificial lighting. Look across the face and along the edges, rather than judging the finish from one close-up alone.
Record the exact model
Similar colour names do not mean the models are interchangeable. Miqilin matte Soft Blue is YSP640-W602; glossy Soft Blue is YSG640-W612. Include the full model code in your enquiry so the sample and quotation refer to the intended finish.
Check technical suitability separately
A matte appearance alone does not establish slip resistance, and a glossy photograph does not establish suitability for a wet area. Request product-specific technical information for the installation zone before final selection.
